ticked
vibes of the week
Tomorrow, Sunday the 15th, the moon is full in Gemini. This one might be confounding. A Gemini full moon is quick-witted, and sometimes controversial. Gemini, the twins, sees things both ways. They synthesize. The two heads go back and forth until a decision is reached, and this particular moon is an unhappy conversation. One voice wins and the other sulks, but both feel like they’re restraining their truth.
Friction is being caused by Mars, who has been moving retrograde since last week. In this backwards motion, Mars is frustrated. This week, Mars is holding back Mercury like a friend keeping a friend out of a fight. But Mars is not a pacifist. Even in his temperance he’s stoking the fire.
As a current of hope, on the 19th, Venus in Aquarius will be exactly 30 degrees behind Jupiter in Gemini, showering him with love. Jupiter and Venus are the benefics of the sky. Venus makes things beautiful, and Jupiter abundant.
After the confusion of the full moon, this aspect is an opportunity for blessing. In the two air signs, we are especially tilted towards an epiphany. The full moon brought us to the limits of our patience, and this salve is the accidental revelation of an occupied mind. A good idea in the shower. A sigh that opens the diaphragm.
The vibes:
It feels very important. That missing puzzle piece that completes the smile of a central figure is nowhere to be found.
“Have you checked under the couch?”
Obviously. How patronizing. That’s the first place someone would look, and we’ve torn this room apart.
We want to stop looking, but it feels like we’re one second away from finding it. That makes it all the more activating. That it should’ve been here. We could pry up the floorboards with vexation.
A few days later it no longer feels so personal, and one of the best ways to find something is to clean. When we’re cleaning (wiping down, sweeping up, putting away) we’re accessing a reservoir of care. In a moment of flow, a mineral deposit can be dislodged, and sediment reintegrated. Forward motion more effective than concentrated pressure.
That puzzle is still staring, indomitable, but it’s someone else’s problem. It belongs to an argument we’ve divested from. There’s something outside that’s waiting for us.
