things can be different: 2025
vibes of the year
The Planets:
There are huge generational changes coming next year. It will be the first full year of Pluto in Aquarius, in March Neptune will move into Aries, and in July Uranus will move into Gemini. These three planets are the slowest moving, changing signs around every 20, 14, and 7 years respectively. They indicate changes in the cultural imagination and societal landscape.
Uranus in Gemini, in particular, has an intense track record in the United States. The last time Uranus in was in Gemini was World War II. The time before that was the Civil War, and the time before that the Revolutionary War. Drawing a line backwards in that way, it’s easy to be alarmist. But at it’s core, Uranus in Gemini instigates ideological clash and clamor.
While Uranus bangs the cymbals, Pluto watches. Both will be in air signs, where they pontificate and conspire. Uranus rouses the winds into a frenzy, and Pluto sends a tornado. This energy may sound frantic, but with Pluto in Aquarius, a sign oriented towards charity, it’ll be anchored in goodwill. Aquarius cares about doing the right thing- Even more than it cares about making people happy.
In March, Neptune moves into Aries. Wherever Neptune goes it brings a fog. It derealizes, dissolving the boundary between self and other, and pulling imaginary worlds closer to our own. In Aries, the instigator of the zodiac, the haze is around action and reaction. It confuses what we’re doing, what we did, and what needs to be done. The spark that usually pushes us forward becomes mysterious and hard to access.
The lesson of Neptune is often to detach and trust our intuition. To drop the reigns and let the horse we’re riding take us home. If we can’t overcome an obstacle, ascend. Become something that can move through walls.
Shortly after Neptune moves into Aries, Saturn will join it. Saturn has slightly faster transits, around two and a half years, which is long enough to draw the lines between micro-generations. It makes being 22 feel very different than being 26. The thing Saturn does best is set limits. Saturn creates boundaries, restricts, and enforces consequences.
Saturn and Neptune’s co-presence in Aries may be frustrating. We’re walking blindfolded in a unfamiliar space, bruising our knees while trying to get to the door. Starting, and stopping, and starting over. We thought we were building a table but it was actually a chair.
In Summary:
Pluto is deadly and Aquarius is amicable, so Pluto in Aquarius means friendship is a weapon. The most important thing is to connect, and that’s also where the poison is.
While Neptune is in Aries, our actions won’t make sense. Like the butterfly effect. Flapping our small wings can make a storm across the river, and it doesn’t matter how.
When Saturn moves into Aries, our battles choose us. We can try to charge forward (and fail) or we can boil until the enemy is in front of us (and be ready).
For Uranus in Gemini, follow the epiphany. Our minds will change again and again, and each time we’ll be right. Better to leave the asterisk than write in ink.

The vibes:
If everyone jumped of a bridge would we- Yes. We can be a thousand things at once if we are a part of a very big wave. If everyone is loving then we are too, and if not, we’re forging a sword.
The myth that none of our thoughts are original can be a salve or a deterrent. Pacification works.
We’ll be afraid either way, so do it.

my two takeaways are that i love your writing and that my birthday month is going to be a MESS for me. xo
That last line 😮💨 Thanks for this, Elijah
