holding back
vibes of the week
Creating one of the most powerful alignments, Jupiter, Saturn, and the Sun make perfect angles to each other this week. They’re spread across the three water signs: Scorpio, Cancer, and Pisces. It’s a watery week.
Jupiter creates abundance but Saturn causes restriction. When the two exchange, they reign each other in. Jupiter becomes more selective with it’s generosity, while Saturn’s grip relaxes slightly. When the Sun enters the mix it emphasizes. The Sun in Scorpio does so with intensity- An underline like a slice. Writing with pen hard enough that you can feel the letters carved into the paper on the other side.
As the Moon wanes and Scorpio season ends, there’s an air of certainty. Water is a fluid thing, changing and freezing and then changing again, but the channels it cuts through stone are permanent. As Saturn in Pisces closes off a path that was once available, Jupiter in Cancer finds a cove for us to rest. With the Sun in Scorpio, not everything can be revealed. Scorpio keeps things precious.
The vibes:
However heavy they are, at least we don’t have to take them everywhere. We can leave them at the foot of our bed or pooling in the kitchen by the stove.
It seems unnecessary to use the word ‘plasma’. A clunky word we have to shrug while using so people know we don’t take ourselves so seriously. But it’s the right word, for this fourth state of mater. We mean plasma in the most speculative sense of the word. Like when it describes a mysterious goo. When plasma is a left-behind residue that no one can explain.
That’s what’s there, plasma, this huge otherworldly mass, drifting around our apartment. And when we’re not there, it’s speaking to us. With a warbled voice that turns friendly when we return to it. Like a dog greeting its familiar at the door.
It’s hard not to measure our safety by the number of secrets we’re allowed to tell. Sitting in a room where there’s someone you don’t know. How much of this would they believe? There’s a blob in our bedroom we don’t have to explain anything to.
